Arranged over three floors and set upon the ancient ramparts of Mèze, Maison de Thau is a historic fisherman’s cottage offering panoramic views across the sparkling water of the Étang de Thau and lush vineyards. This little house sits in a quiet, sun-drenched impasse—a small square shaded by an olive tree and surrounded by the colourful shutters and cobbled streets of the old town.

It is less than 5 minute walk from the beach, market square, harbour, cafes and restaurants	Outside the House The house sits on a tranquil impasse. A little bistro table outside the house catches the afternoon sunshine. Perfect for early evening aperitifs	The Bedroom The intimate bedroom looks out on the Olive tree. It has an ensuite 'wet room' bathroom with rainshower.

Climb the stairs to the top floor, where the house truly comes alive. Here, you'll find a bright and airy open-plan living-dining area, complete with a contemporary kitchen, with natural light streaming through a large window overlooking the water. This inviting space is perfect for mornings and enjoying evening apéritifs while taking in the breathtaking view of the oyster beds

A Private Sanctuary

On the floor below, you’ll find the intimate master bedroom, dressed in flowing white curtains and crisp cotton sheets. It leads into a "bijou but perfectly formed" adjoining salon, where French windows open onto a balcony filled with views of the lagoon. A modern walk-in rain shower adds a touch of luxury to this deliciously private floor.

The Location

While the house feels like a secret sanctuary, you are only a short stroll from the vibrant harbour, the local beach, and the market square. Perfectly positioned between medieval Montpellier and the sandy Mediterranean shores of Sète.
